ROOTED: The 30-Day Yoga Journey to a Stronger, More Flexible You

The five days in Dunagiri are the destination. The real journey begins the day you decide to go — thirty days before you ever set foot on the mountain.

ROOTED: The 30-Day Yoga Journey to a Stronger, More Flexible You

A stronger, more flexible body isn't built in five days in the Himalayas. It's built in the thirty days before — and sealed by the five days that follow.

Dunagiri Himalaya forest yoga retreat

Most people think a retreat is something that happens to them — five days somewhere beautiful, and they come back changed. But the truth is quieter and more useful than that. The body that arrives in Dunagiri is the body you build in the thirty days leading up to it. And the changes that actually last are the ones seeded before you ever board a flight to Pantnagar. ROOTED isn't just five days in the Kumaon Himalayas — it's a thirty-day arc of preparation, immersion, and integration, with the sacred stillness of Dunagiri at its center.

🏔️ Dunagiri isn't just scenic — it's revered as the birthplace of Kriya Yoga, a place seekers have travelled to for generations. Rooted 2.0 unfolds there from 25–29 November 2026, guided by Anjali Pandey.

The Full 30-Day Arc

Rooted yoga shala Himalaya retreat

Five days in Dunagiri sit inside a longer arc. Here's how the full thirty days actually unfold — before, during, and after:

Days 1–10 · Commit 🌱 Build the Daily Habit Reserve your spot with a 40% deposit, then start a short daily practice at home — even 10 minutes of asana and breath. This is where the body begins preparing for five full days of movement. From intention to routine
Days 11–20 · Deepen 🧘 Strengthen & Soften Extend your home practice, add pranayama, and start noticing what your body actually needs. This is where flexibility begins to shift — quietly, at home, before Dunagiri ever enters the picture. The body starts listening
Days 21–25 · Prepare 🎒 Ready the Journey Plan your route — by air via Pantnagar (1 hr from Delhi), by train via Kathgodam, or by road from Delhi. Pack light, set intentions, and let anticipation build. The mountain is close now. Preparation becomes excitement
Days 25–29 Nov · Immerse 🏔️ The Five Days in Dunagiri Daily asana in a glass-walled shala facing the pines, meditation and pranayama, cleansing kriyas, hikes to Mahavatar Babaji's cave and the Neem Karoli Baba temple, and evenings in the meditation pyramid. Stronger, calmer, rooted
🏔️

What you return with: A deep connection with yourself, a calmer mind, a stronger body, daily rituals that actually stay with you, and memories that last well beyond the five days themselves.

Why the 30-Day Frame Actually Works

Meditation pyramid Dunagiri retreat

Retreats that change something lasting rarely work by themselves. Here's why building around Rooted, not just attending it, makes the difference:

🌱 The Body Arrives Ready A body that's had thirty days of gentle preparation moves through five intensive days very differently than one starting cold. Preparation is what makes the immersion sustainable, not exhausting.
🏔️ A Sacred Setting Does Real Work Dunagiri has drawn sages and seekers for generations. Practising asana with pine forest views, and walking to Mahavatar Babaji's cave, changes the practice in ways a studio simply can't.
🍽️ The Body Is Fed, Not Just Moved Farm-fresh satvic meals support the physical transformation as much as the asana does. Strength and flexibility need nourishment, not just stretching.
🔁 The Days After Are Part of the Plan "Some journeys end when you return home. Rooted begins there." The rituals built over thirty days are designed to keep going long after Dunagiri is behind you.

What's Included, and What to Know

Your stay, all meals, all yoga and meditation services, group activities and workshops, the Babaji's Cave excursion, temple visits, trek, and the Meditation Pyramid experience. Travel to Dunagiri, airport or train transfers, and personal expenses are not included — transfers are available as an add-on.
Reserve your spot with a 40% deposit. Early bird pricing is valid until 15th September, after which standard rates apply. You can also take 10% off by paying in full at the time of booking — this stacks with the Early Bird rate.
By air via Pantnagar Airport — about 1 hour from Delhi, roughly 2 hours 45 minutes from Mumbai — then a scenic 5-hour drive. By train via Kathgodam, about a 4-hour drive to Dunagiri by road. Or by road from Delhi, 9–10 hours through scenic hill towns; overnight buses are also available.

🏔️ Readiness Check-In

You don't need to already be flexible, already be strong, or already know what a retreat feels like. You need thirty days of showing up, a mountain that's been calling seekers for generations, and one decision made now. The rest — the strength, the flexibility, the calm — follows from there.
